He founded Makuria Investment Management in 2012 and has raised approximately $1.8 billion from blue-chip institutional investors. He previously worked at Goldman Sachs Private Equity, Canyon Capital, Silver Point Capital, Altor Equity Partners, and Hicks Muse. Robert Glitch

Bob brings 13 years in coal and more than 25 years across financial management, corporate management, IT, and treasury. Before Oak Grove he was CFO of Alanax Technologies and led finance and IT at Murray Energy, the largest US underground coal producer. He oversees financial reporting, treasury, banking relationships, and capital programme execution, and implemented the SAP enterprise system at Oak Grove post-acquisition. Philip Saunders
Senior Vice President, Operations
Philip has 34 years in mining across engineering, operations, and senior management. He led the development and construction of Warrior Met's Blue Creek mine — the only new premium met coal mine built in Alabama in the past decade — delivering the $1.1 billion greenfield project on budget and roughly eight months ahead of schedule. He has held production roles from the Powder River Basin to Alabama longwalls, and served as President of Kingston Resources. B.S. Mining Engineering, Virginia Tech; M.B.A. International Business.
